The purpose of our Sacred Conversation groups is to invite people into meaningful dialogue and to create spaces of both spiritual and human connection. These gatherings are rooted in radical welcome, offering a sense of belonging and room for honest, compassionate conversation.

Aligned with our fall sermon series, Hospitality, Belonging, and the Way of Jesus, these groups are designed to nurture authentic relationships, build trust, and deepen our connection with others and with the sacred. We aim to create spaces of true belonging, where all people know they are seen, known, and loved.

We invite you to either start your own Sacred Conversation group or join one at church. Anyone can lead a group, just begin with the people already in your life. You might gather with your lunch friends from work, your book club, neighbors, or even your running or yoga buddies. You decide how often and where you meet: weekly, twice a month, or just once a month. Your group can meet at a local coffee shop, around a fire pit, or in your backyard. Wherever you gather, meaningful conversation and sacred connection can take root.

We will offer short training guidelines and conversation starters. Check them out below...
Just Keep Pedaling

-
What helps you to “keep pedaling” through times in your life when you hit “rocks and roots?”

-
When you feel like giving up, what motivates you to keep going? How do you know when it’s time to rest, and when it’s time to push through?

-
Has there been someone in your life who encouraged you to keep going when you were struggling? What did they do or say that helped?

-
What are some ways we can “build muscle” for those tough moments in life, practices, habits, or attitudes that help us stay steady?
Belonging

-
What does the word, Belong, bring to your mind?

-
What are ways that “belonging” happens within a team, a social group, a religious affiliation, a family, etc?

-
As a child, did you ever feel like you did not belong? (Visions of the elementary school playground come to mind)

-
What are ways that we as adults struggle with belonging?

-
What are ways that we can be intentional about extending a sense of acceptance and belonging to others in a world that seems so bent toward pointing out division?

-
What do you think of the statement of Jesus? “If you love each other, all men will know you are My followers.” John 13:35
