Planned Giving

Want to earn more interest income on your savings, give a donation to the Church and receive significant tax breaks all at the same time? Consider a gift annuity.

The Church of Christ, Congregational Planned Giving Program encourages bequests and planned gifts that will provide a strong financial base for the future ministry and mission of the Church.  In addition to the Church’s Endowment Fund, a new fund called “Future Generations Fund” has been established. This will allow your gifts to be used specifically for the future ministries of the Church. A written plan has been prepared and includes provisions as to how gifts will be received, how the assets will be managed and how income earned will be distributed. A copy of the plan is available upon request.

Ways to Give

• Outright gifts: made during your lifetime in the form of cash, stocks, bonds or real property. Gifts may be made to honor family members on anniversaries, birthdays or other special occasions.
• Bequest by will: you can gift a percentage or a set amount of your estate; options include giving the amount that will sustain a present pledge in perpetuity.
• A Living Trust provides for future family needs while designating the Church to eventually receive income and/or principal from the trust.
• Life Income Gifts provides lifetime income while naming our Church, or any part of the United Church of Christ, as the beneficiary.
• Life Insurance: Options include naming the Church as a beneficiary on a present or new policy, making the Church owner of the policy with premiums are paid by the insured, or gifting the cash value of the policy.
